As unemployment, lay-offs and low borrowing hit Nigeria hard, MMM came, offering participants an online Nigerian community that can give thirty percent rewards on their donations to each other.
MMM Nigeria has been greeted with applause from many and tough criticism and scepticism from others. From the security man who has to live on peanuts to the chief executive who cannot access bank loans, everyone seems to feel richer and comfortable not necessarily because they have a lot of cash but because they have “confidence” that whenever they need cash, they have a community that can donate to them. This is what MMM claims is its ideology. Love over selfishness. For these people, MMM is a saviour and they won’t allow any criticism change their view. It is amazing to see thousands of Nigerians donating to each other.
Some other people don’t buy this. They believe “its too good to be true”. They believe MMM is a ponzi scheme because it allegedly needs new members to continue to thrive.

MMM Nigeria has however continued to grow even with bad media, something that really worries the critics and spectators. MMM Nigeria participants spend millions of naira monthly giving to thousands of less privilege persons in hospitals and orphanage homes, spending time with them in almost every state in Nigeria.
According to their website (www.nigeria-mmm.net) and hundreds of participants interviewed, thousands of Nigerians have benefited from donations they provide to each other through the MMM platform. A participant, Ade, got donations of about N900,000 donations to pay for his medical bills after previously donating N500,000.
MMM boasts of transparency by having no central account (so the money cannot be easily stolen) and being truthful with participants. MMM strongly warns participants to donate only spare money and stick to the ideology of helping each other. MMM resists those who want to get rich quick on its platform by putting limitations on possible donations (ten thousand dollars) and removing participants with multiple accounts.
These moves by MMM seem not to impress critics, they argue that MMM has collapsed severally first in Russia, South Africa and recently Zimbabwe. Research shows the Russian government in 1994 saw MMM as a threat and seized millions of participants monies in the MMM head office thereby leading to the collapse. The Russian government excuse was “MMM didn’t pay taxes”. It is hard to trust a Russian government who jailed and killed Nicolai (a foremost economist) by a firing squad for simply predicting the fall of socialism. The founder of MMM was arrested for not paying taxes (which was impossible because there was no law in Russia to tax a joint stock company for selling stocks) and later released when he was voted into parliament in millions of Russians. Clearly, they didn’t see him as the person who stole their money, they knew what their government had done hence the overwhelming vote.

South African banks and media strongly believed MMM was a threat to their economy. The media trial created a panic among participants who didn’t really understand the MMM ideology thereby leading to a panic. People stopped donating to each other. The media apologised to MMM after the disaster and banks unfroze accounts of participants. MMM South Africa restarted and became stronger (www.rsa-mmm.net).

The Zimbabwe story is what is completely untrue. I personally reached out to hundreds of Zimbabweans (participants and non-participants). It is really surprising who is sponsoring such lies, a Zimbabwe participant said. Another Zimbabwe participant said “only some Nigerian online media are broadcasting this false news”. A simple google search of “MMM Zimbabwe” reveals only Nigerian media carried the news which had been posted months back by a Zimbabwe blog. The news was edited to paint MMM Zimbabwe as dead. According to Zimbabweans, the Zimbabwean structure was remodelled to become like the Nigerian structure (which is one of the strongest in the world). They moved from 100% rewards to 20% rewards on their donations. Why Nigeria media carried a false news and why it happened at the same time remains unknown.
What is clear is thousands of MMM participants in Nigeria are spending even in a recession thereby keeping a lot of small and big businesses afloat. MMM participants are also able to finance their entrepreneurial dreams with donations received thereby creating jobs. An edge non-participants really envy.
The job seekers, students and pensioners are able to search, study and live happily knowing if they need help, they have a solid community that can come to their aide.
Smart businesses are seeking the patronage of MMM participants because they seem to be able to live comfortable in a recession. One of the MMM Nigerian participants wrote “we don’t have billions individually but we have so much as a community”.
I sought to inquire if cheap money is good for the economy. A participant replied me “Do you know how hard it is to convince you that MMM is real? Its not cheap money. I spent days convincing my family to participate in MMM. Its hard work. I work as a clerk. My boss can’t give me a raise because we have lost most of our customers. I haven’t been paid for months. MMM is the only reason I can still come to work and not beg for money to pay my children school fees, feeding and rent. Would you say its bad for the economy?” He asked.
My final question to this participant was “how long will MMM Nigeria last?”. He said ” as long as we refuse to panic and keep helping each other. Divided we fall, together we will change our world. We must audit every news and verify every rumour. We must be wary of friends who are waiting to laugh at us. They can’t be our source of news or information. We must be strong and surround ourselves with like minded people. This way MMM Nigeria will last for a long time”.
My prediction: MMM Nigeria’s future in the next one week, one month, one year is in the hands of its participants. If they keep providing helping to each other, we will be unable to break them no matter what we do. Their destiny is in the collective togetherness.

  1. There is no money in circulation, jobs are lost on daily basis due to the economic downturn brought on us by a Ponzi government, banks cannot loan you funds to do business without a collateral, Banks are declaring too much profits on yearly basis while those who kept their monies in their vault are languishing in poverty, and there seems to be no headway. A group of people have identified an ingenious means to help themselves by contributing a token to each other for a defined token. And what is wrong with that. Cases of robberies and kidnappings have reduced to the barest minimum, students are no more complaining of high school fees, most students do not border their sponsors for monthly stipend, some employers of labour have resorted to invest by linking each of their staff with an advanced salary so that the burden of a monthly salary has been handed over to the employee, Employees no more care for salary increments from their employers and have called off the bluff. All that with much that cannot be exhausted lies under the bed of the almighty MMM. Allow this God sent formula to heal our wounds that will last for the next four years of administration to thrive and restore the already lost hope in the citizenry. Grow the network if you have the heart. This network in future will determine who is going to vie for any elective post in this country. Members will one day show evidence of membership before they can be voted for. We are going to enjoy it as far as we can see it succeed. We die and die together if not we will all resurrect together. Aluta continua.

    1. Emmnuela you have said it all. Same people we suffer and voted for has failed us, economic downturn is killing the middle class and the poor. So let's United together and help one another. Those asking questions of how long will MMM last should equally tell me the number of years they will live on this earth.

    2. Emmanuela, thanks a bunch cos you've nail it once. I think it's high time Nigerian wake up from their slumber and face reality. Those so called sugarcoated politician have fail us particularly youth. It's our life and money if we don't take that calculated risk what's our gain. Hunger is everywhere. Together we will survive it I believe.

  9. I am proud to inform you that MMMunited is working 100%. MMMunited pays 100% every 30days for your investment unlike the Nigerian MMM which pays 30% after 30days. Don't get me wrong, am not saying MMM Nigeria is not real. MMM Nigeria is also real, but they only return 130% of your money "Capital inclusive", while MMMunited returns 200% of your money "Capital Inclusive".

    Example:
If you invest the sum of $100 at the beginning of the month i.e you provide help to someone in MMMcommunity who needed help, your Mavro immediately starts growing day by day at the rate of 100% at the end of the month. Isn’t this amazing….
However, it is not necessary to wait for a month. Help can be requested at any time but only after confirmation of your Mavros and after completion of seven days from the date of PROVIDE HELP.

When you are in need of financial help, you will be able to request assistance for your $100 plus growth amount at the rate of 100% at the end of the month “i.e $200 at the end of the month” at the current BITCOIN exchange rate.

  10. MY HUMBLE OPINION ON MMM

I have heard ignorant people antagonising the system and this is an exhibition of ignorance.

When Jonathan and Buhari were running for presidency, it was not a crime to gather Nigeria termites to donate for them and even sent out codes to contribute for them to run their career, but now it is an offence for poor masses to come together to assist one another.

Hmmm, the rich want to be richer for the poor to get poorer. For the wicked and selfish Nigeria government to be kicking against it is a proof that this is genuine. Everything is being increased, even when the law says no, they are bigger than the law. Take a case study of the electricity tarrif despite the judgment, we still pay out of our noses. What a wicked rulers.

    To help the misinformed minds

    (1) MMM has no central pause to be stolen by anybody.
    (2) nobody is carrying nation money to any where, nothing criminal about it, only the wicked rich ones are afraid of the liberty of the poor.
    (3) The organisers has nothing to do with our money, either directly or indirectly. They only benefits has we open their site just as Facebook and other sites. I imagine if Facebook. Instagram etc are not crime, what is the problem of this wicked government and sponsors blind minds.

What is the problem of this government, why are you witch haunting the masses, you don't have things to give to us than endurance messages. You take things we enjoy without substitute. A wise person provides alternatives to whatever he is taking, we are not yet recover from the band rice and other zeal without knowledge policies.

MMM has been hope to many you have made hopeless, any action against the millions of Nigerians finding their feet via this humble, sincere, hope energising programme will be highly resisted.

Shares, Banks you monitored have been crashing, don't sponsor any fear into us. Even manner falling from heaven stopped one day. We take responsibility by ourselves. Stop witch haunting. We rob nobody, we don't practice money laundering, what then is your problem.
For the sceptical individuals, we see things by our fears, faith and mind set. Check your internal compass.

MMM is a community of honest and sincere people to lift up one another which our government have failed to do.

MMM is sincere and honest enough to those that are not greedy and money mongers. Follow their instructions, advices etc,

    No one is cheating another.
You contribute to make others smile which also will be done also unto you.

Space and time will not permit me to go further. If the people involved in Naira bet open shops publicly, go to media for publicity are not criminalised and this mutual helps is their headache, abaa! this is wickedness.

Let them return the money they donated for themselves to become the president and we will stop helping ourselves in this situations they have put us in the country. Please share to educate others in all your platform and let the government knows we have our humans right.

    Long live MMM.
    Thank you

  12. Letter to the leaders in the political zoo (Nigeria). Please hear these message.

The so called leaders of the end time, who has not only manifested physically, but have demonstrated their intentions in divert forms with the word CHANGE,
    Note: you cannot deceived all.
    A Savior is born.
MESSAGE TO CBN OF THE ZOO:
To the undervalued economy of Nigeria, The CBN has lost it focus, it trust, it appropriations and vision for the people.
But God has brought to us light through MMM. Where every indigenous and united people of good minded, vision entrepreneurs has the liberty to grow their vision and establish their dreams.
But the CBN of ZOO called it SCAMMERS.
    MMM members are we scammers?
    Who have we cheated?
    Is MMM really a scam?
Is it a scam to have a system that brings a community of people together that financially help one another, willfully, without being forced?
Is it a scam to have a system that creates a platform for individuals to combat poverty at its core?
We always say fighting poverty is a collective effort; now instead of people stealing, cheating or robbing they join their hands in good heart to provide financially help to one another, is that scamming really?
Is it a scam to see families that couldn’t afford to bring food on the table now able because of the financial help they have received from other members?
Is it a scam to see students who couldn’t afford to have pocket money and monthly allowances in tertiary institutions now able to afford because of MMM?
Is it a scam to see entrepreneurs rising from the capital money raised through MMM and in return they contribute to the economic growth of this country and create employment to thousands?
I will tell you what a scam is?
A real scam is to hinder people to their financial freedom yet encourage them to keep borrowing from your system so that they work for you and pay the rest of their lives if they live that long…
A real scam is to have someone work 40 years of his/her life and after retirement that person must take the fruit of his/her years of hard labor and pay the debts and bonds that refused to end because of ever increasing interest rates.
A scam is when your bank sends you an sms alert to inform you that you have earned #0. 50 on your money, and later charge you #4. 00 on the sms alert. Your bank also charges you exorbitantly every month on something you know nothing about; and there’s nothing you can do other than to keep quiet because you have no choice.
A scam is when your mobile network provider charges you on the service you never make a request for (caller tunes, news updates, etc)
Working for a government and being paid the same salary as when 1 Dollar was N165 till now is a scam.
Working for government for years without promotion is a scam.
Working for so long and just getting a sack letter or retiring broke and in debt is a scam.
Serving your country for one year and crying to get a job is a scam.
Not being paid salaries for 5 months or more is a SCAM.
Not being able to transfer your job to your children is a SCAM.
Spending 6 years in Primary school, 6 years in Secondary School, 4, 5, 6 years in Higher Institution, 1 year Internship (for some) 1year of NYSC and at the end you still roam about looking for non-existing job is the REAL Scam.
Meanwhile someone somewhere is enjoying financial freedom, making millions, driving brand new cars etc. But in joining MMM without submitting CV, NYSC discharge Certificate etc…and people still say it’s a scam?
Is it therefore a scam to have a system that produces people that can afford to buy a house they could have paid for 20 years in cash had such a system not been introduced?
The CBN of ZOO in the country of Nigeria, the (Scammers).
Men and brethren, please help me tell them (CBN of the ZOO) to repent OR mind their business.
